I’ve had some recent changes to my circumstances, and thought I’d miss having Disney+. I was wrong, I haven’t missed it at all and doubt I’d subscribe again until Andor’s 2nd season is out.
Other subscriptions too, I just haven’t missed any of them.
I’m lucky enough to be in a group of friends that live reasonably close together so we can share and spread the cost of these streaming services. Visiting each other to watch content we like, and also hang out together. Yet still able to subscribe just for a month or two to watch anything we do like.
It obviously saves some money for everyone, and gets us out and about seeing each other, instead of sitting in the same chair at home each night. Not just for TV, but for film, specials, and sports as well.
“Online Piracy” is also on the rise once again. This is not surprising to with spiralling costs, limited incomes, and the contempt shown towards streaming customers.
