Fires have ravaged The Island of Maui. 80 have died, 1000 are missing, 3000 buildings destroyed. Maui is without telecommunications, the fires are not yet contained, winds of 80mph are spreading the flames on the dry brush from drought.
The stories of survivors breaks the heart, “as twelve to save their lives in a harbor leapt into sea,” (News) and “families as the flames came around their homes huddled together…” (NEWS) 😦
