I love the show and i even recently bought blu-ray bootleg of Millennium imported from China, but somehow it looks slightly worse than the dvds.

I have it, but I have no means to share it. I put it up on MySpleen last year but if you’re not already a member, you’re screwed. The invites have been closed for YEARS.

Next month (May 2024), I will be putting up the first season of this Millennium 1080p upscale on 1337x. It’s a public tracker, so hopefully the people requesting it will find it. If all goes well, the second and third seasons will follow.

There really is no issue in getting these files at all currently.
Upon viewing this thread someone already had kindly given all the links to the files on Ufile.io.
The files have expired there for download, but still are available for a pull request from the cloud for premium users. Simply pay $7.99 for a month, cancel any time.
I requested the expired files and got access to them within 12 hours.

Does anyone have the bootleg Blu-ray set that’s been going around? I was considering making Blu-rays, but I don’t know if that set is any good or what it’s source is.

Hi, not sure if you bought the blu rays but if you are referring to the Chinese bootlegs that are sold on EBay I wouldn’t bother. I purchased them several months ago and returned them as there is almost no difference and if anything it looked like SD burned on to a BD and when I compared to the DVDs the colour was different on the BD set.

Yeah I’m referring to the ones on eBay. I decided to keep them as they look good enough. It’s likely my player’s upscaling, but it keeps me from having to make my own, at least for now. I will keep this project on a backup drive indefinitely, though. Another strike against the bootleg set is that so many episodes are on BD-25’s.

I did a little math (uh-oh). A season of 22 episodes would comfortably fit on 4 BD-50’s and 1 BD-25. It would be possible to squeeze it on to just 4 BD-50’s. That would be 5 episodes per disc for 2 discs, and 6 episodes per disc for the other 2 discs.
I think that would be a lot better than the 11 episodes per BD-25 disc we get with the Chinese set.

I’ve created the first disc and I gotta say these upscales lend themselves to the medium quite nicely. I guess this will become a project worth doing.
