Thanks, everyone. I’ll mark this as a ‘someday’ thing.

I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.

I do find, though, that putting the lines you want in quotation marks and adding something like “I said slowly and menacingly” after that helps (if you use “he said” the AI tries makes the voice you want then narrator and they deliver the actually line in a slightly different tone so it doesn’t quite work)

Hey, this is a pretty good idea, especially seeing as how ElevenLabs probably intended for their service to be used to narrate books this way.

Would you say this works most of the time?

A decent amount. I wanted to generate some new Armorer lines for a Mandalorian edit I’m doing for myself and I found putting “I said slowly and deliberately” got me much closer to the delivery that I wanted most of the time. Without it the lines were delivered WAY too quickly. I allowed me to focus each generation on getting the delivery I wanted without getting hung up on the speed.

But I would say using that will get you closer to what you’re aiming for much quicker than just randomly generating and hoping for the best.

Just put out a V6 update to ESB, intended as final for the foreseeable future. It’s nothing dramatic, just tweaking the new Boba Fett dialogue slightly, reverting to the SE version of the Cloud City balcony shot, and using Adywan’s addition of the bunk on the Falcon seen in TFA.

That’s ESB and ROTJ nailed down to where I am very happy with them. Now, whenever TMWNN finishes his 2011/2020 hybrid ANH source material, I can quickly and easily update ANH as well.

EDIT: My Google Drive host is still not functional, but I will upload this there when I a become able to.

Will this new ESB be available at the same place as Ascendant v3 and Legendary v6??

Yes.

Just nitpicking here, but why remove the shockwave from ROTJ’s Death Star explosion and not ANH? It was a neat addition to ROTJ in my personal preference, but in either case, why not keep it in both to maintain consistency?

Author

IMHO the one in ANH feels conspicuous to me not to be there, but ROTJ’s feels tacked on. I’m not a fan of the added shockwave rings in general, and I’d like to avoid having all the large explosions in the OT but only those in the OT having them. I’m hoping in a future revision to be able to ditch the one added to Alderaan, leaving just the first Death Star’s.

I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.

I think the one in ROTJ is better because in the composition it moves towards the Millennium Falcon thus making for a more dynamic shot.

Is there a particular reason you left in the CGI creature in Mos Eisley (around 44:13)?

It is a bit jarring, other than that the edit is perfect and might be my go-to

Author

Unless I wanted to do away completely with the CG creatures in the movie, I’d need to maintain a sense of consistency. I want to use the SE “look sir droids” main shot and the new shot of the speeder approaching Mos Eisley. And if I did remove all CG creatures I’d be stuck with OOT shots that are among the toughest in the movie.

I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.

Hey Hal, I noticed your V6 of ESB seems to revert Obi-Wan’s “The Jedi master who instructed me” line. Was that intentional?

Author
Time

Not intentional at all. I’ve made a note to look into it. Thanks.

Glad you pointed that out, Octorox, because you’re right. I am not sure how I missed that, but I’m working on getting that patched up.

And PM sent, mezerlg!

Yeah, unfortunately AI has only really been trained on American and British accents, definitely not a lot of Kiwis to take data on.

But if you know somebody with a convincing Kiwi accent you might be able to use that new 11 labs feature which basically applies a voice filter.
