If they already have archives of different cuts or versions of films at the ready, then use them, especially the theatrical cuts of the OT.

I actually feel a little for Kathleen Kennedy and the bigwigs at Lucasfilm. How are they meant to plan or budget for future series and films when the “big boss” at Disney is spouting stuff like this?

And like you posted, fewer new Star Wars = fewer Disney+ subs. The same for Marvel and less new content in general too.
