And of course the reviews for the DVD were high. This is what we had been waiting for. Until we realized what was really on it. The cleaned up film version was so sparkly that we were blinded by the fact that Lucas altered EVEN MORE to the original trilogy. Now the hype is starting to wind down and people are starting to take notice that, "Maybe this isn't as good as I thought it was going to be."
Look at the hype around this issue on TV. Have you guys ever seen that South Park episode where they try to stop GL and Steven S. from ruining Indiana Jones next?
Or that Robot Chicken episode where Steven remakes Jaws "because it wasn't his original vision?" Or how Vader tells Luke all the stuff that doesn't make sense in the Prequels?
Or the American Dad episode where Stan escapes by focusing the mobs attention on "The man who convinced George Lucas not to release the original theatrical version of Star Wars on DVD?"
This isn't some underground movement here people. The media is starting to take notice.
