Hi guys!

I am from Spain and I would love to share with you my video captures of this 1991 VHS Planeta DeAgostini release of ANH (in Spanish-speaking countries was called “La Guerra de las Galaxias”) which is basically the same video master that the original 1984 Spanish CBS/FOX VIDEO release, with the only change that instead of CBS/FOX, it says FOX VIDEO.

The 1990 VHS Spanish domestic release has only the intro. The Spanish 1993 THX Widescreen VHS/laserdisc doesn’t feature this version, instead it’s the original version, with the crawl part narrated by a dubbing actor.

It seems that the only way to get the “full” Spanish version of the film is in the 1984 CBS/Fox Video release and the 1991 Planeta DeAgostini.

Greedo subtitles:

Unfourtnely the Greedo subtitles were redone in the video releases, so the font or adaptation used in the theatrical version is unknown.

There is the Italian, French and German versions, I think it’s important to also preserve the Spanish version of the film.
