I think that everyone is making assumptions that Lucas will do something for the 30th anniversary. Beyond that, no one really knows. The problem with the Archival edition is that Lucas is already re-releasing the DVD set this year, and everyone is making fun of it for "double-dipping" Unless it is Blu-ray/HD-DVD or whatever new techology comes along, I'm not sure it will happen. Yet more changes won't really be enough to sell more DVDs, either.
