I disagree. The strong sales of the 2004 DVD release tells me that there ISN'T a market for it cuz the average joe doesn't care what version they have. To them, it's Star Wars and that's it. They're not distinguishing between SE or OT or whatever.

If the mass majority wanted the original versions, there would have been a lot more grumbling on the issue. Most reviews of the 2004 set barely touch on the issue and the ones that do just associate the need to have these versions as part of the "geek factor."

The market of the OOT is a niche market. We're that market and we are a small number compared to the number that will just blindly buy whatever GL puts out. And LF will bow to the numbers.
