It sounds like season 2 of Andor will have a very different pacing. They’re planning to jump around in time, leading up to Rogue One, rather than doing a single story:

Cool read. Especielly this: "I mean, his brain just doesn’t stop. He can come up with a better and better and better idea. And then he works with a beautiful team of writers where everyone starts to bring another layer and another layer and to question things to get them better and better. And he established so many characters, you know?"

I also enjoyed this interview he did:

‘Andor’ Star Diego Luna Was Skeptical Over How Well Season One Went: “This Is Too Perfect”:

and at the end of the interview:

Interviewer: Well, Diego, congrats again on Andor season one. It’s truly my favorite Star Wars story since the ‘80s.

Diego Luna: Thank you for your support and for telling me these beautiful things and for giving us a chance to celebrate this experience. The beauty of what’s happening is that other shows like this can start to come out. It might become contagious, and I’m excited by that.

I hope we do get to see more Star Wars like this. It doesn’t all have to be the same, but more grounded, real, intelligent. A level up in quality across the whole range of qualities needed to make an engaging, compelling show.
