Yeah, I can tell. It sometimes feels like I’m going crazy when I check other Star Wars communities, because everyone outside of this site is blindly praising this piece of shit season for no reason other than “OMG did they just canonize Blab Gizzlesticks from that one EU book??? I CLAPPED when that one Gungan turned out to be voiced by Chris Pratt!!! STAR WARS IS BACK BABY!!!”
It’s just such an infantile way to engage with media, prioritizing the cheap thrill of being able to point and yell at your TV screen over having any sort of meaningful connection with the story or characters. People may have complained that Star Wars fans were too negative in the pre-Disney+ era, but at least fans actually cared about good storytelling back then.
