Maybe you could switch the first scene of the new chapter to somewhere in the beginning of the movie ? It’s a nice filler that shows well what are the mandalorians up to and how they use the stolen imperial starships.
I think it can be an enjoyable movie, you could trim a bit the 1st ep, leaving a bit of pirate stuff (it’s fun and its a nice opening for the later storyline with Mandos rescuing the capital), trim the 2nd ep, leave some bits of 3x03 (depending on how much impact it ll have on the whole story), trim heavily 3x04, trim considerably 3x05 and cut 95% of the 3x06. The 3x03 side story can serve well to make the pacing better, to fill some moments/time jumps between the quests 😉
That opening Romeo/Juliet scene is painful viewing IMO. Can’t believe they couldn’t come up with a better scene for “Mandos for hire”.
The problem with including the pirate scenes from EP1 is that we then get too much planet hopping in the opening act.
My current thinking is to move the pirate takeover to the start of the edit and then space out the subsequent scenes from that thread and intercut with the main Mando plot.
