Hello peoples. I'm completely new to the idea of creating custom DVD covers for my DVDs. I've been meaning to do a set of custom covers for my Star Wars saga using the poster art as well as nixing the Roman numerals in the top left hand corner of the front of each cover. I've also been thinking about doing some covers with the black backround and the silver borders (like the classic action figure cards out there.

Unfortunately, I have no idea which program is ideal to use. I've never done this before.....

With that said, just a few questions:

Which program is the best for doing projects like this?

Does anyone know where I can find high res images of the backs of the current covers?

Are there any places that have the Star Wars fonts similair or exactly like those on the existing covers, spines, posters, etc.?

Is there any place that has the "Star Wars" style templates (i.e., the black and silver borders, etc) available for download?

As far as printing is concerned:

What type of paper is best to use for the best printing results? I know that legal sized 8.5" x 14" paper is needed. But what textures are the best?

Any help offered would be greatly appreciated. I can't hardly wait to get to work on some of the ideas I have for covers.

Thanks,
MtD
