Am I the only one who DIDN'T like the Padme's parents house scene? It was completely extraneous. I, for one, don't care enough for Padme's character to even want to know what her parents and house looks like, which is really the only purpose that scene serves. Any important knowledge of her family (which there is none) could have simply been disclosed in the dialogue. It serves no romantic purpose, either, it's just a boring tour of a Naboo-ian house. In fact, this kind of approach reminds me of the Holiday Special - a day in the life of a Wookie family.
