Personally, I’m glad Andor isn’t super mainstream. If it had Mando levels of popularity, Disney execs would likely be micromanaging the second season to an absurd degree right now. Andor’s continued obscurity means that the “lightning in a bottle” of the first season might still be recaptured.
Also, was anyone really expecting Andor to be super popular anyways? It’s a show based on the most forgettable character in the most forgettable Star Wars movie, with a very slow pace and almost no action scenes. It was never going to stand a chance against anything with “Boba Fett” or “Obi-Wan Kenobi” in the title, no matter how much praise it got.
