Wow, just Wow.

I've just read the first page of updates and it all sounds so wonderful. You truly are a legend ADM.

Now...how can I get hold of some of these without resorting to torrent (Which is hugely slow for me)? I'll be more than willing to 'pay it forward' to anyone in the UK.

The new Pearl Harbor edit sounds fantastic!

I'm still confused as to what this "Bruce Willis" moment is though.

Towards the end of the attack, there is a scene where Jennifer Garner's character kinda "loses it" just after Betty is discovered to be dead. While she's freaking out, a wounded soldier limps across the frame just behind her. That soldier is Bruce Willis, digitally extracted from the end of Die Hard. It screams to be noticed and ruins one of the more powerful moments of the film. Some places aren't right for in-jokes, and that was certainly one.

The one for the AP cases already doesn't seem to be working.

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

Thank You all for your kind words - these were a lot of fun to make, and I can't thank Dark Jedi for his insight and help along the way, and of course thanks to ADM for starting it all.

In the spirit of things, please, please, please send a new link via yousendit if you decide to download the covers. That way everyone who wants them can get them and one person isn't doing all of the uploading.

Thanks!

Are you planning on doing an updated Wizard of Oz edit, now that the new disc is out and they have included the entire dance routine cleaned up on the bonus disc?

Also included are extended and deleted shots of the tornado that were originally going to be included. They are pretty clean, but in black and white, so thus need the Sepia applied, an easy task.

I may do this along the way. No immediate plans, but I definitely want to see the new transfer for sure. I'm considering holding off for the inevitable HD release.

The new transfer is amazing once they get out of the Sepia and into the Technicolor. I think probably the most beautiful shot is the classic shot of Toto from a upward angle barking at the Scarecrow on their first encounter. Truly amazing.

I suggest going ahead and getting this one, cause who knows how long it will be before the HDDVD version. However, they have the 4k raw data..something like 300 TB worth of data stored, ready to use.

The only thing I don't like about this release is there is still alot of grain. I mean, I like grain, but I would figure they'd be able to clean alot of it up. It becomes less noticeable in the Technicolor.

There are two movies which would make for excellent fan edits in the future.

The new Harry Potter film Goblet of Fire, and Serenity by the creator of firefly.

Of course for the deleted scenes we will have to wait for the official dvd releases, and or in the case of harry potter the television longer cut.

John Williams is not the guy for the new soundtrack for goblet of fire, booh! someone should be fired.

the deleted scenes, plus edit it more to fit firefly the series. I have'nt seen it yet, but someone posted something online about the continuity between the show and film being all screwed up.

Then perhaps you should actually see what you are commenting on before you suggest changing it.

I strongly recommend you catch up with Joss Whedon's comic book of Serenity (Dark Horse comics) before doing an edit.
It's a prequel (to the film) and bridges the gap between the TV series and the movie. It explains a lot and patches much of what seems like continuity errors.

My girlfriend & I sat down to watch the Hannibal edit last week after re-watching Red Dragon & Silence of the Lambs. We both liked most of the film with various subplots & notes added back into the film. I'm debating to maybe take a whack at editing Hannibal myself at some point to see if I couldn't play with this idea more (like adding in the original audio from Silence instead of the re-recorded conversations between Hannibal & Starling) and an ending the two of us could be happy with.

Do most of these ADM edited films have a DL version floating around like the SW ones?

Much thanks Rikter for the Pearl Harbor news - can't wait to check this out

PSYCHO_DAYV - THX brought to my attention that whilst happily PMing away - I forgot to switch on the fact that I could receive replies (D'oh !) - this has now been rectified and the offer still stands if you need sorting out with the Harry or Austin covers...
