Season 3’s opener today just left me empty, I’ll have to watch it again as it felt lacking and predictable, so it was probably just me. I was looking forward to this new season, I was not expecting Andor level quality, but still expecting better than that. May it is because this was the "set up " episode for the rest of the season? I hope so.

The IG-11 thing? “Somehow ~~Palpatine~~ IG-11 returned”. It just seemed weird and unnecessary, cheapening the sacrifice made in season 1, and the unfortunate familiar Star Wars trope of bringing back far too many dead characters back to life. Maybe there will be some effective payoff for that later?

Edit: I found it odd they didn’t reference why Grogu is now back with Mando after the end of Mandalorian S2. The events which took place in the 2 episodes of The Book Of Boba Fett. For anyone who hasn’t seen the BOBF series this season opener must have been quite a strange “WTH?” experience. It wasn’t featured in the opening “recap” segment, was it?
