I wish Wal-Mart in Canada got the bonus. I checked and its a US only bonus. I guess I'll have to wait and see if anybody torrents it.

Right from the back cover...It came in the mail today

The Skywalker family is at the heart of the Star Wars saga. Now hear the inside story of Luke and Anakin Skywalker from the characters who witnessed it all: the famous droid duo C-3PO and R2-D2.

Episodes IV,V and VI are explored in "The Story of Luke Skywalker," which follows the young man escaping from his daily chores on Tatooine to his becoming a hero in the Rebal Alliance.

In "The Story of Anakin Skywalker," you'll go behind the mask of the greatest Star Wars villain and discover how Darth Vader started life as a young Podracing Champ on Tatooine and later became a headstrong young Jedi seduced by the Dark Side of the Force.

With clips from the Star Wars films, C-3PO and R2-D2 take you on an hour-long journey through the saga and prepare you for the explosive final chapter: Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.

Sorry have not watched it yet.

wasn't that Connections promo part of the AOTC VHS release. I've got four segments of it somewhere on disc but I don't remember it being an hour long

I already posted about this in the main forum yesterday...with screenshots.

I just picked this up today, and I'm sorry to report it's a serious joke. The disc contains two 3PO narrated recaps, one of Ep 4-6 that focuses on Luke's parts and a recap of Eps I & II, focusing on Anakin's parts. The special doesn't even have any footage from ROTS, and there is NOTHING new whatsoever contained in it. This is a new low by LFL, as far as I'm concerned. Packaging a cheap clip show with a horrible looking background set and marketing it as bonus material is vile. I feel like a sucker just for purchasing it-I had a feeling nothing good could come of shopping at the human zoo known as Wal Mart. If anyone wants this for some reason, I will sell it for what I paid for it (about $6 extra).

I don't have a Walmart near me, but I do have a Sam's Club, which is owned by the same company and usually gets the same bonus discs. They were selling it for $21.99. I figured the bonus disc wasn't $7 sio I went and picked it up at Circuit City for $14.99.

So, I guess there's no easter egg of George swimming in a pool of money laughing maniacally at us then?

You'll have to wait for the special edition for that.

" Yeah... Wow... Bad... At least Shaw was the ghost at the end."

Does it really have that footage? That may be worthwhile to ADigitalMan.

Also, the disc is 4x3, not 16x9.

If you really want my honest opinion, well, think of it this way...Wal-Mart sold just Ep 3 for $14.99, so if you paid $19.99 for both Ep 3 and the bonus disc, technically it's only $5.

It is worth having, if only for the "new" footage of the 'droids. And no, this isn't the same content as the "Connections" interstitials that came out at the time of Ep 2.

On the whole, though, it's nothing more than a promotional teaser for Episode 3 since the bonus DVD does not cover that film. The copyright notice is 2004, so it would have had to have been produced towards the end of last year.

I bought it anyway, and although I do feel a bit cheated (should have gone to other stores, I guess), it is a curio.

Maybe it would be best to OFFER up selling/trading REAL copies (not DVDr or uploads) of the OFFICIAL DVD's for fans that cannot get them, at least until they are NLA at Wal-Mart - anything like uploading them while you can still buy them is really SHADY and I would not recommend uploading it to myspleen or any torrent site at this time.

SO, for those OUTSIDE the USA - please contact me and I will go to a REAL Wal-Mart and buy you a copy of the REAL DVD's

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith ( Walmart Exclusive With Bonus DVD) (Widescreen) - Check out this link for the DVD's - They do cost $19.96 retail and $10 GLOBAL PRIORITY shipping in a FLAT RATE envelope (+ any paypal fees - like $.70 cents or something) as this will hold the two disc set best and be shipped with the fastest shipping.

So, if you need a copy of the real deal please email me at my addy below and I'll get a copy of them for ya while they last

I haven't watched it yet, but imagine the look of terror on my face when I got into my car yesterday morning, looked at the DVD packaging and saw "The Story of Luke Skywalker" listed as one of the two features. I'm happy to hear it isn't nearly so extensive as my project-in-progress, but I was more than a bit concerned until I saw the running time of the DVD was only one hour. I almost let out my own cheesy Vader-esque "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" as the thought went through my mind.

I got it and I might watch it. I just like having one more disc on my shelf. That is one fat collection I got going there. Not a cinematic masterpiece, but it's 5 bucks.

I stockpiled a few of these 3 disc sets today, since the WS version is almost sold out already. It isn't even available on the website anymore. They have started putting the FS version with the bonus disc out, but no one really wants fool screen. I wonder what marketing genius came up with the idea of putting the sticker on the CASES, instead of on the outside plastic wrapper. Anyway, if anyone needs one of these sets and can't find it locally, I may be able to help. You can PM me or email me by clicking the glasses icon above.

The Wal-Mart disc is pure crap. I would advise anyone thinking about picking this disc up to steer clear of it as it features nothing new(just scenes from the first 5 films spliced together) and it's in 4x3 fullscreen format. It's so lame that I sold mine on eBay just to get it out of the house. I should have known better than to expect something decent from Wal-Mart.

I agree with you, but people seem to want it anyway, judging from the ridiculous prices the disc is fetching on feebay.

Agreed. This DVD isn't that great to begin with, unless you're looking to fill more shelf space with Star Wars DVDs for the sake of "completing the set" (guilty as charged), so why would they ruin the freakin' case by putting a sticker right on it? Idiots.

Okay, my rant(s) on this DVD is over.
