I had a blast listening to these and going through the old art from the books. I hope it may interest others too.

Watching some of those brought back some happy memories. It was also great to see some of that old style artwork again too!
“In the future it will become even easier for old negatives to become lost and be “replaced” by new altered negatives. This would be a great loss to our society. Our cultural history must not be allowed to be rewritten.” - George Lucas

Although A.I.-generated vids like these are still in their infancy (and weirdly-creepy due to their limitations), I really liked the ‘retro’ stylings and effort put into these couple of short examples. And the overall colour-grading also makes me yearn for a big-budget, live-action sci-fi or fantasy done with a similar 50’s look overall. Which reminds me, I must have a re-watch of ‘Forbidden Planet’ again for it’s wonderful, now ‘old-school’ production design and settings.
Check out some of the other neat examples over there, such as ‘Dune’ and ‘The Matrix’ amongst others - https://www.youtube.com/@abandonedfilms/videos
Kinda neat but also AI garbage, so there it is. If someone actually used their imagination and talent to design these I’d show some appreciation.
