Well why wouldn’t you lead with that?

Because it’s not in the screenply or script

Because of the radio drama version of the scene.

And because it does not have a proper sound mix for instance stealing Mottis footsteps.

1 - It IS in the script. Revised Fourth draft March 1976:

2 - The radio drama is an adaptation, padded out and events adapted so they work on radio. Nothing more.

3 - There has been no “stealing Motti’s footsteps”. The footsteps of the officer who approaches Tarkin while he is looking at the viewscreen is foley. Specifically created for that shot, so that the steps match what we see on screen. These " footsteps" would not even work for Motti.
