there was never meant to be a planet at all on the screen at this point. Notti strolls over and states “we have reached the Alderaan system” like Tarkin is blind and princess Leia also is oblivious to the fact she is at alderran too and act’s surprised like it was’nt there already.
The Planet was meant to appear only on the screen when Tarkin says “Home planet of Alderaan”. It was meant to be a reveal at that point.
No true at all. The planet was always meant to be there. It’s a rear projection, so that was all filmed in camera. It’s not an element that was added later.
