Also, if you get the jetpack and go to one of the arches(I forget which) on the Bridge from San Fierro to Bone County there is a sign that says "No easter eggs up here"

Doh! I forgot to add that there is one thing that HAS to be in the next GTA. And that is the return of Fernando Martinez!

*You know that thing in anime? Where all the people fall over flat on there backs with their feet up in the air, and a tear appears above them, all in one or two frames? I just did that*

I'd like to see Maurice Chavez make a comeback.

Yup.

Because he was the only normal human being in Vice City.

Not to change the subject (I just hate GTA so I have nothing to contribute) I got into Spiderman 2 this last weekend. That game doesn't need a storyline or side missions, I could just swing and climb through NYC for hours on end. Has anyone else had the pleasure? It is by far the best spiderman engine EVER.
If you're going to take forever, then I'm having a hotdog!

I went to rent it, and it wasn't there. So I rented Riddick instead.

Love it, I don't even think I got halfway through the missions though. Its just so enjoyable to swing around for hours.

After doing some investigating, I've learned that the same accomplished VG voice actress who has done the voices of the mega babes Rachel from Ninja Gaiden and Rikku from FFX, among many others, is also responsible for the highpitch sqeaks of PPG's Bubbles, the prepubescent rasp of Fairly OddParents' Timmy Turner, and the show-destroying marketing ploy, Dylan Pickels. Weird.

She's kind of pretty herself...

Are you a hard-core republican not satisfied with the president? Part of the Cuban mafia? Perhaps a secret CIA agent, or a military equipment maker who wants the US to get harder action in Vietnan? What I'm asking is... did you always WANT to kill John F. Kennedy, but never knew how to do it? NOW you can do it: The KILL JONH KENNEDY COMPUTER GAME. For only $9.99 and a 800mhz 256ram computer, YOU can kill Kenney too!

All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

I saw this on Inside Edition, really gives the gaming industry a good image.

The point of the game is to ascertain whether Kenedy could have been killed by Oswald alone, or if he had to have had some help.

I know that, but you know how the mass-media portrays things like this.

Motivated by a morbid curiosity, I decided to download a cracked version of the game (mostly because I don't think that getting it for free would be stealing), and I played with it for a while and I felt it was ok, it was supposed to be a digital re-enactment of the assassination and not a game, althought it was very, very bizarre and morbid. That is, until I actually saw that you could actually crack open Kennedy's head and send his brains out into the limo...

JFK reloaded, and then the 9-11 game where you try to escape the towers and jump from it... Jesus Christ people, what's next, "concentration camp tycoon"? Is it me, or the computer game industry is getting VERY politically incorrect?

Anything to make money any more.

Right after the attacks happened, there were Starcraft maps on battle.net called "WTC Defense" and "protect the towers"
And the ocassional reversal where you were actually trying to destroy the towers. It's so wrong how some people will use national tragedies for entertainment. Not that I'm declaring myself above it.

yeah same thing happened with Rogue Spear right after 911, there were all sorts of "kill osama" maps that were released. But those were for free...

I think games should follow the "comedy killer" rule: can you do a joke about a certain topic without completely offending an audience? If you can, than you might do a game about it.

You can make a joke about Hitler being anally raped and killed, so you can do a game about it.
You can't do a joke about the challenger explosion, so you can't make a game out of it.

But I do belive that JFK reloaded softwarehouse, Traffic, might release a 9-11 version to show that it was indeed possible to fly those planes, and that there was no conspiracy on it.

Well what I had in mind was more of an "Auschwitz meets Theme Park".

"BANG!" Oh did you hear that? That was GOD, putting the final stamp on my passport to HELL.

Ric's cheery out look on life everybody...

Anywho. Hitler--anyone--being analy raped is offensive, and I would definietly not want to play a game about that. Not because I like Hitler, but because I don't images of rape, especially homosexual rape, floating in my head.

But besides that, I've noticed a double standard: anytime somebody makes a game about WWII and shooting Nazis, it's perfectly fine, but if you make a Pacific game about shooting Japanimperialists or Muslamic terrorist, then it's called offensive and taboo? I don't understand the difference? If it's not wrong to exploit past events, why is it wrong to let modern people vent their frustrations about 'currnet events'

To prove my point: Do you think anyone from the WWII generation at home would have objected to Medal of Honor if we'd had videogames back then.

It's a delicate issue. Nazis are portraid by the media as insane, ultra-evil people who are better off dead and we shouldn't even think twice before killing one of them - I mean, look at the Indiana Jones movies. Japanese soldiers are hardly portraided like this, mostly because they didn't have a direct participation in the holocaust. Also adds to this the hiroshima and nagasaki bombings, and the fact that the Japanese seemed more "open" and "friendly" outside war times. It's a little bit shocking to play a videogame where what you have to kill isn't a: a) nazis, b) fictional evil criminous people, c) aliens, or d) a fictional faceless evil nazi-like army. That's why I don't get shocked with WW2 nazi-related war games, but a Vietnam game shocks me completly - I don't know why people would play a game set in the Vietnam war.

The problem with that analysis is that the Japanese commited such horrible atrocities in China and other places they conquered, that they make the Nazi's look almost half of a percent friendly. They refused to surrender, they'd fight to the death. They did things that the Nazi's didn't dream of. (On a massive scale, of course) Read the book 'Flyboys'--but not if you have a weak stomach.

Not that this justifies Hitler in any way, but saying that the Japs were 'nicer' is ridiculous. (Thank God they're free now!)

Which still leaves the question of fighting terrorists being considered in bad taste or investigating JFKs assassination in first person being the worst game ever, but a game like GTA San Andres gets all kinds of praise for 'handling the sensitive issue of gang violence well'??

Bienvenido al mundo loco.
