My edit plays in chronological order, though it does make some changes to the official Disney/Lucasfilm chronological ordering because I wanted to get some storylines kicking off sooner. But if you watch it end to end, it will not break either its internal canon or wider SW canon. So you can replace the original show with this.
This is 720p, not 1080p. My PC struggled with editing 1080p files, and also, IMO there’s very little gain for 1080 for this show, since the models and lighting are so flat, especially earlier on. I don’t think you lose much at all. There are one or two lower quality sources, but they are minor, and I don’t think you’d notice them. Some cut scenes are included, but again you wouldn’t notice a quality dip.
Credits come at the end of each of my episodes, and generally my episodes are each a full arc from the show. In a couple of places, an arc from the show is split over multiple episodes however, and each of these has their own credits.
Having said all of the above, you may instead prefer Numeraljoker’s edit, which doesn’t edit the content at all (in terms of shots/narrative), but which presents each arc as a single episode, all to 1080p+ and HDR (I believe). Where his is the original content to shiny quality, mine is designed to improve the narrative.
Numeraljoker’s edit then, but Seasons 1-6. Can be 1080p for that and not upscaled, since the BDs & THE MOVIE was 1080p. This forum has a bad layout, no search function amongst lacking other features, so I’m going to check the stickied thread for that.
Regarding the 2.35:1/2.40:1 aspect ratio of the show, did you find 720p to be okay with what you did regarding this fan edit? Especially with the episodes/movies you’ve alotted with the project, and the compression. I’ll reread the first post to see which cut scenes you added back in.
In fact I’m honestly interested in this and Numeraljoker’s presentation.
As mentioned, I’ll still get the BDs of Seasons 1 through 6, more for the bonus features.
Already have Season 7 in 4K with HDR, 31.7GB, as shown in the order in the image below. Haven’t even watched it yet, but would be neat to watch your edit of Season 7 afterward.
