Would rather wait for a 35mm film scan in 4K of TESB 1997 Special Edition compared to whatever this is.

You do that. Back in the mid-00’s this was as close as was possible to get.

Yup. The 35mm scan is looking mighty fine too compared to this outdated project from the mid-2000s.

It’s not outdated, it’s in 1080p. unless you think that “4K” is the definitive resolution.

It’s outdated. 35mm film scans of The Empire Strikes Back 1997 Special Edition, which are fine for 4K aka 4K97 V, aren’t outdated.
Since this is an older Mid-2000s project sourced from only okay home media, I doubt 4K would benefit from this because it’d be another choppy upscale. This is perfectly fine in 1080p.

Says the guy asking about LaserDisc preservations?

I’m not sure if you’re asking if I ever inquired about that or double checking. Proper punctuation helps.
Laserdisc preservation is fine since it’s from officially released media, and because it’s not some weird hybrid fan edit culled as though it’s some Frankenstein’s Monster project aka whatever-the-fuck this is.
To me, this falls on the pile of fan edits, not fan preservation.

OH SHIT, multi-quote in one post. AGAIN.
