I have looked at your stills comparison that you posted and I am liking the changes that I can see so far.
Did you notice on the escape pod launch shot around the engines for about the first 10 frames there are black matte shapes for the engines igniting that were never comped in?
Then also if you look at the exterior of the ring which is pitch black again is a missing matte, one would imagine that this would have been or should have been some sort of tube or interior.
Lastly I think the round window in the escape pod is not a window, but a video screen. If it were a screen then it would make sense that they are looking back at the ship rather than if it was a window then you would see the planet. So I think it would be good to see that look subtly like a video screen perhaps some scan lines and a small graphic?
Also the shot of the star destroyer leaving Tattooine looks very good but I was focusing on this shot the other day and why it looks so much better in the gout and horrible in new releases but gout has scratches on the planet element. The planet was obviously recomposited but it looks very garish you have done a good job on that shot but I am noticing you changed the planet matte no big deal to be honest. The thing that stands out most from the Gout version is that the planet matte is not so bright so the color is a bit deeper. I will leave that thought with you and darkening that planet element a bit might make it pop some more but it’s certainly much better than the BLuray that shot looks so horrible what they did there of the special edition.
Whilst I have not seen your version of the dark interior of the sandcrawler where R2-D2 and 3P0 reunite the best version in terms of color I have seen for this is the Silverscreen edition version of that section. I have not seen 4K77 version but anyway I’d like to point it out that this part looks bad in all the Special edition version but in the silverscreen version it looks very good.
