I was asking, of course, because it’s rare to see attached trailers, even if there are any, included as part of a feature film scan. IIRC this is the first time I’ve seen such. Anyway, it gets me curious as to what trailers were attached to other films… but that’s a topic for another thread.

I do remember Watchmen being attached to pretty much all print packages for The Dark Knight back in 2008. Interesting to see Body of Lies and Terminator Salvation in there, too.

What are the specs of the scan? like resolution and was it multi-exposure/hdr scanning?

In terms of colour timing it’s a perfect match for the digital transfer used for the trailers.

How does it compare to the 4K?

According to this screencap at Caps-a-Holic, https://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?go=1&a=0&d1=11844&d2=11843&s1=116732&s2=116718&i=12&l=0, it appears that the image on the 4K disc comes close to the 35mm scan.

I disagree, the print appears to be both darker and have far less green than the UHD (though the preceding bullet might be resultant of HDR tonemapping).

If I seem inactive, check me on FanRes: https://forum.fanres.com/user-1389.html

Screencaps of HDR content pulled from disc is not 100% accurate representation of how said content should look when properly played back on an HDR display. Caps are okay for a thin frame of reference and nothing more.

Sent an important message to all donators. If you donated and didn’t get the message, please let me know and I’ll send it to you as well.

Is it to late to donate? I didn’t see this post until recently and would have donated if I had known. This is a preservation gem.

Thanks for the additional donations!

A stabilized experimental HDR version has been sent to donators. If any donator did not get it for some reason, let me know.

Is this available anywhere, and/or is it still possible to donate for access?
