When the president passed the act, he didn't know the WTC would blow up or that we'd fight in Iraq

True he didn't KNOW that the WTC would blow up, although intelligence reports stating "Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States" had been ignored (on purpose?).

And not true that his puppeteers didn't know about renewed US fighting and eventual occupation in Iraq as that little war was among their first day plans.

But I don't want to get into all of that again.

I hate the wool that has been pulled over the eyes of the public.

I'm sure most conservative presidents would be for the removal of Sadam Hussein. It should've been done in 1991, or during Clinton's eight-year-party... I mean administration.

You got a problem with parties bub?

I prefer Clinton's philosophy to Bush's "Make love not war" or more accurately "Don't blow everyone away just get blown".

Now there's a philosophy I'm sure we can all subscribe to.

I feel that supplanting the best interest of Education in America in favor of a more efficient machine of War is rediculous and unjustified.
In my opinion, we could have avoided being so overly burdened by our efforts in Iraq, which would have allowed us to continue funding our domestic programs.

Well, it is not that. I would love to see people get along well in school, and have every child learn to read and write well and all that good stuff. But, what I dislike is the idea that they are advancing through the school system. IMO, if you cannot read/write above the fourth grade level, you should not be in the fifth grade, 6th, or - as in my school - the 11th. That is insane. They need to be in special ed, & not in a class that they receive the same credits for as I do.
I just hate stupid people.

Agreed. I think that in Florida the percentage of high school graduates who are functionally illiterate is over 30 percent. Anyone care to explain that one to me? I know for a fact that this holds up in Jacksonville. Worst literacy rate in the nation for major cities.

I have no problem with parties if they are tasteful and don't interfere with a presidents duties. Clinton was in the oval office committing adultery when he should have been leading the nation. How many times did he let Bin Laden slip through his own fingers? What about ordering missiles to be shot at an EMPTY terrorist training facility after the embassy attacks?

If Clinton hadn't spend eight years cutting our military, using the armed forces as homosexual experiments*, and diverting its funding to worthless and redundant social programs, we might even be doing better in Iraq right now. Heck. If there was no 9-11 attack, then we probably wouldn't be in Iraq.

*Yeah I know, don't ask-don't tell. Whatever. I have nothing against letting gays be in the military as long as they aren't used to promote feminity among men. If they are there out of a desire to serve the country, then all the power to them.

Now you have a problem with the word 'blown'?

I really don't think that there is an insidious 'feminising of males' secret agenda. If anything shows like Queer Eye just want to teach you how to look after yourself, moisturise and clean up your house.

I don't think that allowing gays in the military takes anything away from the job or promotes femininity amongst the ranks.

Darth Chaltab:
Heck. If there was no 9-11 attack, then we probably wouldn't be in Iraq.

Maybe, maybe not. It's moot. The truth is there was an attack on September 11th 2001 by Saudi Arabian terrorists from Osama bin Laden's well funded Al Qaeda network and there was NO actual connection to Iraq and yet...

EDIT: Removed a superfluous 'y' from the middle of Sept(y)ember.

It's true that there was no actual connection between 9-11 and Iraq, but this isn't the War on the people who attacked us on 9-11. It is a war on all militant/terrorist groups. Most of which are unfortunately concentrated in the Middle East.

I grant you that and I will go one further and challenge Bush to strike at the heart of the terrorist enclave, Saudi Arabia.

It would cost your country $800 Billion dollars to do so and that's why Afghanistan and not Arabia was deemed a good enough target to satiate the blood lust of a nation.

I hate terror groups too but I'd like to see someone go after the source not just the edges.

If the soccer milfs of America weren't so addicted to driving gas guzzling SUVs to drop the kids of at the mall before afternoon pilates then you wouldn't be so dependant on the groups who hate you all so much. Stop buying their oil and they'll have less money to plan attacks on our countries. If they had no economic power then we really would be safer.

This goes beyond the Democrat or Republican party blame game, it rests on all of us to develop an economically viable clean efficient non fossil fuel to replace oil and petroleum.

If we could do that we'd be cutting their balls off. But it depends on a leader who is willing to cost America $800 Billion dollars in Saudi investment money.

How much is your safety worth? Our world leaders place your value at far less than that amount.

Honestly, I can't debate this point, as I do not know enough about Saudi Arabia and what terrorists it harbors.

Ahk geez Alaska again? Why must we swiss cheese the world in order to fatten the waistlines of Exxon executives?

Stop sucking on Big Oil's teat and our children will still have natural resources like parks, trees, wilderness, ozone and clean air.

I hate Big Oil and their efforts to impede the search for cleaner fuel while there's still dinojuice in the ground.

I remember when MTV actually featured music videos. Now it's mostly crappy teenage-related shows.
