there seems to be an issue where I used all of adywan’s dialogue that I used, 2 scenes.
Have been accidentally converted to stereo.
so all the dialogue in Ben’s hut is on the left track now.
this will be fixed in the smaller encode. but if you’re watching the larger encode just try to ignore it.

I just watched the smaller encode version, and mate you have made a fantastic edit! I thoroughly enjoyed watching it; the colours are beautiful, it sounds great, and the visual changes you made all look fantastic.
Thank you for sharing your hard work with the fan edit community!! 😃

Is there a way fix your father’s lightsaber your father wanted you to to have it when you were old enough line and the when I first knew him your father already a great plot but I was amazed how strongly the force was with him I took it upon myself to train him as a Jedi to fit continuity?

My ‘Custom Special Edition’ of ANH addresses this. I use a syllable from the same scene to have him say, “I wanted you to have this….” And I don’t think it sounds too bad.

Also, the ROTS ‘canon cut’ by NFBisms tackles this differently. As Anakin and Padme have their hairbrushing balcony scene, there is dialogue implying Anakin is suggesting giving the baby a lightsaber.

My stance on revising fan edits.

What about obi wan explaining his relationship with anakin in return of the Jedi not remotely lining up with the phantom menace.

Obi-Wan telling Luke that his father wanted him to have his lightsaber is a lie to get Luke to want to use it as he looks up to the idea of his father. This is important to Luke’s character: he joins the Jedi because he wants to be like his father, only for that dream to be shattered once he realizes it’s Darth Vader.

Everything Obi-Wan says in ROTJ is technically true, even if arguably he should’ve had a more active role in TPM. Anakin was already a great pilot and Obi-Wan would’ve known that, Obi-Wan was amazed by how strongly the force was with him because he was the one who first saw his midichlorian count and was amazed by it, and he did take it upon himself to train him as a Jedi, he just did it after Qui-Gon died to fulfill his promise.

It may feel a bit misleading but technically everything he says is correct even when taking the prequels into account.

I think what bothers me is the fact he says he took it upon himself not that he gave qui gon his word that one is harder to line up with return of the Jedi for me you can try to edit phantom menace to line it up but even then it still wouldn’t work for me. you would have to edit the I took it upon myself line to have it make sense in my eyes because other he’s flat out lying.

No rest for the weary? You went straight to V 2 without giving yourself a break. I certainly admire the work ethic.

The lower picture you posted looks like a work of art.

I have not had the opportunity to watch V.1 yet, but it looks like V.2 will have much more in store for the fans.

Hi Guy, thanks for this great and huge work!

The thing with the lightsaber jump cut being explained by it having a stronger ignition due to it being ignited for the first time in 19 years has always been my head canon to explain it and I think it’s cool that you do more to make it look more clear.

I have looked at your stills comparison that you posted and I am liking the changes that I can see so far.

Did you notice on the escape pod launch shot around the engines for about the first 10 frames there are black matte shapes for the engines igniting that were never comped in?

Then also if you look at the exterior of the ring which is pitch black again is a missing matte, one would imagine that this would have been or should have been some sort of tube or interior.

Lastly I think the round window in the escape pod is not a window, but a video screen. If it were a screen then it would make sense that they are looking back at the ship rather than if it was a window then you would see the planet. So I think it would be good to see that look subtly like a video screen perhaps some scan lines and a small graphic?

Also the shot of the star destroyer leaving Tattooine looks very good but I was focusing on this shot the other day and why it looks so much better in the gout and horrible in new releases but gout has scratches on the planet element. The planet was obviously recomposited but it looks very garish you have done a good job on that shot but I am noticing you changed the planet matte no big deal to be honest. The thing that stands out most from the Gout version is that the planet matte is not so bright so the color is a bit deeper. I will leave that thought with you and darkening that planet element a bit might make it pop some more but it’s certainly much better than the BLuray that shot looks so horrible what they did there of the special edition.

Whilst I have not seen your version of the dark interior of the sandcrawler where R2-D2 and 3P0 reunite the best version in terms of color I have seen for this is the Silverscreen edition version of that section. I have not seen 4K77 version but anyway I’d like to point it out that this part looks bad in all the Special edition version but in the silverscreen version it looks very good.
