This is good news I hope it get’s interviews from all the main people in the production.
I was also hoping for the many of the cut miniatures and matte paintings perhaps we might see their final versions rather than production stills, along with full breakdowns of the deleted scenes and alternate material.
Could be a fantastic book if done right. I was hoping for a new release of the film oh well here’s hoping for that too.
That is great news! I hope they do the film justice with a high quality book, and maybe some extras and goodies too.

I don’t particularly like Destroyer or Red Sonja but Barbarian just had the right amount of comedy and seriousness it was not silly or too camp like the others.
I hope they show us a proper version of the Waterwheel set where Conan and Subotai talk before deciding to head down to the tower of set on the raid. It’s strange that the audio conversation is there but the actual visuals and the set are not present. I’m not sure if this was another foreground minuture of Emilio Del Ruiz but most of his work was cut I think including King Azrics Castle and The full Tower of Set minuature too.
It’s like the whole Shadazir part is a mess in a way missing Conan Cutting off a guys arm who tries to steal his sword, the Procession with the Daughter of King Ozric on parade the Lizard on a stick the elephant taking a massive dump on the street and the whole your to big to be a thief is also a bit weird too along with the weird insert of the tower of Set over the black lotus opium den. It’s pretty clear that whole part was chopped about quite badly plus we miss Valeria introducing herself in name. I am sure there is a version that was not such a muddle at one point. Still love it but to see it restored would be glory.
Shadazir was also shown at a distance in a matte painting although we could see the actual person painting it onto glass in the wilderness of Spain that also never made the film either seems a shame we never saw those parts put back in or even in special features of a movie disc.
I have bought Titan books before, so I had a look around their site.
They have put out limited editions before, with little fanfare.
Not sure if the publisher would bother this time, as the signatures would raise the price to a princely ransom.
Still, worth checking periodically for you folks with deep pockets.
Oh it will be about £40 I suppose it will be a forbidden planet item you can always pick them up cheaper a while after release If you don’t want to pay full whack or 2nd hand.
