What are the average file sizes of your 720p mkvs? I have that series and as I recall it looks pretty good in 720p. I may have a different set.
Each episode is about 1.15 GB. My main issue with the quality is related to some dropped frames (specifically when ads pop up) as well as some pixelation and coloring issues related to the de-interlacing process.
