I'm gonna have to agree with that choice. I keep both starwars and dvd updated, but there is a place for everything on the newsgroups, and it really blows when something comes up in the starwars group that is non-starwars related, wasting headers and bandwidth for those users that are there for - surprise! - Star Wars related things

I don't know the policies of attachments for these forums, but it would maybe be possible to attach NZB files to threads for the lazy usenetter, such as the above poster asking the absurd. Again, big ups for all your hard posting work, you are a true blessing to the Star Wars community and the Usenet community as a whole. Thanks again. Looking forward to those ADM DL posts!

....well i have to agree with you for not posting to a.b.starwars but not for those reasons. i am glad that i use giganews as my service provider cause the pace segaflip was posting those first few ot dvds... let me just say that i am just in the middle of september with the downloads. not everyone has +10Mb adsl+ what-ever connections nor the time to keep one of the most popular newsgroups updated. those fan edit dvds are not the only stuff that´s good in the newsgroups you know

a.b.dvd is a massive group and getting latest headers with agent is a drag. and no i´m not switching to a different prog just for that. i have filters and shit for agent and it works just fine for my needs.

the main question was just to ask that the only newsgroup it was posted to was not a.b.dvd. maybe there is another newsgroup more "friendly" to fan edit than a.b.dvd...?

Hey I use agent aswell and love it.

I understand the problem that many people have with a.b.dvd that is why I also post to a.b.superman. So instead of a.b.dvd you can use a.b.superman. Nothing in that group is very superman related that I have seen.

Come to think of it maybe someone should make a new newsgroup called a.b.dvd.fanedit!

Strangely enough, I have never been able to find a.b.superman. I have a.b.dvd marked and ready for those releases, though.

Strangely enough, I have never been able to find a.b.superman. Most likely your news server service does not carry a.b.superman, sometimes it takes a simple email to request a group to be carried.

The Special Edition trilogy was officially released on VCD in Asia, I'd guess that this is what segaflip is posting.

Hello Segaflip, thank you for posting Blade Runner to alt.binaries.dvd. My ISP news service is lousy so I am short 173 blocks to repair (basically missing full files from .r24 to .r42) and I was wondering what the procedure was for requesting fills. I have checked myspleen for the torrent but was unable to find it. I just found this website and have not seen Blade Runner since the fullframe VHS so any help you could offer would be apreciated. Thanks again.
