I don’t know how it could be done, but I think it’d be pretty nifty to replace ‘the Death Star droid’ with a K2 droid for the two shots in which it appears in ANH.
It’s the black, bug-headed 3PO that walks by as Han and Luke load Chewie into the elevator in stormtrooper disguises.
