I just did a Star Wars marathon over the past couple of days. I watched from Episode 1 to 6. I decided I’d watched the SE and not the OOT when it came time for 4-6 and I gotta say, the SE didn’t bother me as much as I thought it would ! Jedi Rocks is still one of the shittiest things I have ever seen in a movie but the rest of the changes don’t bother me that much now. I especially liked the ROTJ ending with Hayden Christensen (not a very popular thing to say I know), I thought it tied up the 6 movies really nicely.
Of course the problem was always that the OOT is not properly released regardless of whether the changes are good or bad.
Anyway I just wanted to share my feelings towards the SE: not as bad or as distracting (except Jedi Rocks !) as I remembered.
