Amazing job. I have enjoyed every minute of the movie and I feel that all the omissions and changes regarding the chapters are very well done. The editing work in dialogues, the rearrangement of scenes, the use of music, the way of spinning the chapters… I sweat thinking about doing it. As a Star Wars standalone this would be a blast. Congratulations, it is a 100% enjoyable movie.
Thanks for the feedback. Season 1 is definitely the most conducive to making a feature length movie and the end result is a pretty satisfying 3-act edit.
Sorry to be picky, but I’ve also noticed sound issues on this one. About minute 1:42:37, a kind of roar repeatedly creeps in, presumably from another part of the film. I also notice some of the watery sound I mentioned in episode 2, again at times when the music hits hard. It is noticeable for example at the moment when Grogu heals Greef, around the minute 2:00:13. Compare it to the version of the seventh episode, I notice very clearly a deterioration in the sound.
I have already seen part 3 and it is fantastic, I will leave you a review in its respective thread but connecting with the topic I want to tell you that I have not noticed anything strange in that one and I hear the sound mix much cleaner than in the other two. I will review it well just in case before writing to you in the corresponding thread.
I am reviewing them well because I am really very happy with your work. I really like the mandoverse but I’m not too keen on interconnected transmedia storytelling and I love this way of putting together series and concretizing them. It would be nice to have a version as polished as possible.
