Return Of The Jedi never released documentary

I was watching this video of behind-the-scenes talks of star wars when on the ROJ panel, they played a snip of an unused ROJ documentary with never seen footage. This video was only shared with Tom Spina and I can’t find his personal email so next I emailed one of the two people who owned the video. He replied by saying he’s never seen the video but he’ll ask the second owner if he’s got it.
It’s been about a week and a half and he says he still waiting for a response.

Ill update this post If I ever get it, and if so, start digitally restoring it.

I remember seeing a fan reconstruction of the scene a few years back. Great to finally see the real deal. I wonder how many fan edits will make good use of the outtake?

oop sorry, no it was something else, I was thinking of the version where they showed the severed arm of Walrus man with claw hand, not his head

haha, oh ok so actually the video I was thinking of DID have his head chopped off, I thought so, but then last night a quick skim all I saw was the claw hand severed and thought maybe I misremembered and the only difference it had was the claw vs fingered hand. Yeah, knew I saw the head severed before and that is the same link I was thinking of.

Still no response

So much STAR WARS stuff that still hasn’t been released.

That’s so strange. I feel like I’ve seen this before but…I guess not?

update 02/16/2023 still no response. He’s also asked other people about it but it seems like Brandon is the only one and doesn’t check emails very often. If it takes another month I think I’ll send Brandon an email myself in case he missed Howards email, if I can find it… This started in October, crazy…

Thanks for keeping after it! Would be cool to see this.

Still haven’t heard back. Guess he just never saw the two emails or is just ignoring them? not sure, but a shame we will never the full quality of this documentary
08/02/2023 Edit, still haven’t heard back from either email…
-05/21/2024 Update, still nothing. Got Tom to respond (who showed off the video in the video) and he says: “it was Howard’s footage but from a while back, he may have forgotten. It’s not our footage to share and we only had permission to share at SWC. Just courtesy and integrity there. (and no, this doesn’t involve Disney)”
So Howard forgot about it and now it’s in this collectors files but he doesnt want it shared and its not because of disney regulations. So in my conclusion: Hes keeping it to himself for some reason and this is pretty annyoing. This is STAR WARS History and should be archived and uploaded publicly if already shown to a viewing. I’d go on, but whatever.

Anyway, If you look closely during https://youtu.be/RWw8-s_a0vM?t=412 at first I thought it was Rock wart running out on the floor but then realized it was sand being kicked up. Than I noticed the skinny yellow leg and I believe this to be Yuzzum. Which wouldn’t make sense since I think he was seen stuck to a wall in another documentary so how would he be moving his legs? And the last frame has something poke out the door but than the camera cut.
