Could I get a PM for the link too? Thanks!

What’s the current status of this? Would love to see this as a BD version with menus basically as the extended edition came, but with correct colours…

Great work - especially after the UHD release seems to be botched, this is marvelous and the only chance to see LOTR in a decent quality that’s not flawed in some major way!

If the FOTR recolor is finished, could someone link it to me? I’d love to compare it with 44rh1n’s recoloring.

I’d also greatly appreciate a pm for the completed project if it’s still available

Great job!

Is this release synced with the 1080p blu-ray edition? I’d like to add an audio track (french, in my case) from the original blu-ray, but I see that your release is 3:48:11 whereas the OG release is 3:48:18. Any idea where the missing 6 seconds are coming from?

As a side note, does anyone knows of a good fan restauration where the extended edition scenes are used to create a new version of the theatrical cut, where by using the color corrected EE it would “fix” the heavy DNR and sharpening of the original theatrical cut of the blu-ray?

Probably at 01:45:38 (after Pippin says “where are we going?”) – there’s a couple of seconds of black (due to the disc change?)

That’s correct

It’s not very evident here but the new remastered blu-ray (and the UHD it’s sourced from) has completely altered colour grading as PJ wanted to make the movies look more like the Hobbit trilogy. The old green tint from the first EE blu-ray is gone but it’s still nothing like the original release on dvd/theatrical

I would be very interested in seeing your work on the Two Towers!

Hello and thank you for your work. Is it possible to send the link via PM? 😃

Thank you for this. This is the best HD anyone will possibly get for extended from what I’m reading. Better than DNRd 4ks with color revisionism and the 2011 green tint blu ray. PM?
