The only good thing I can think of out of this is it does solve a problem of superhero/comic book movies have, and that is over half the film is dedicated to creating the hero/backstory stuff, and therefore leaves little time for the actual movie.

I was actually hoping that they do an adaptation of The Death/World Without/Rebirth of Superman.
