This sounds great! Would you PM me a link too please? Thanks!

I’ve finished watching the edit, and I must say it was very nicely done.
I kept forgetting that the original films had a lot more footage. That’s how you know a good editor has done a good job.

watching “rings of power”(flawed as it is) has inspired me to re-visit the LOTR movies but I couldn’t quite bring myself to watch the hobbit because of all the things you listed in your write up (love triangle, un necessary side plots etc.) Have been looking every where for a fanedit of the type you discribe. any chance that I (like everyone else on this post… haha) could get a link. thanks.

Hello all, I don’t check this site as often as I should, so I’m just now sending out some PM’s, my apologies if I missed you or took forever to get to you! I’m more responsive over on IFDB (mostly because they have a discord notification system). I’ll try to be better about checking this thread, but if you’re dying to watch my edit, feel free to hit me up over yonder, and I’ll for sure get back to you quicker!

Thanks for all the love : ')

My current go to is the Chris Hartgrove Trilogy he edited a few years back. He even created Theatrical and Extended versions too which he has videos explaining his edits on YouTube. My only issue with the Maple Films Edit is not only the one film format but how he also didn’t include The Enchanted River scene which Chris, did.

Overall though, your edit does intrigue me, Stromboli. I too would like a link when you have the time…

“Did you know, the word ‘gullible’ is not in the dictionary?! Look it up.”
