Well my thoughts were have the scene play out with a shot of treadwell looking over just before Luke on the Speeder shooting off then probably wipe straight to the end of the Special edition Sandcrawler shot and try to do the Halting shot of it arriving.
Although it sounds forced and a bad idea I think treadwell being shot would work well too. It relies though on this scene being present and the bit of dialogue for it to mean something. It would obviously be just 2 seconds and a glimpse of what was happening before Luke again speeds off.
It also plays on Treadwell not wanting to go meet the sandcrawler perhaps to get sold off too.was it a tragic decision to stay on the farm? It’s a little story but it comes full circle then.
I kind of see the original theatrical version as the film and final cut but the Special edition as the opportunity to try and tell the story better but not exactly how the Special edition did that. I don’t mind updated matte paintings and CGI ships they have zero effect on characters and story just look better in instances.
CGI Dinosaurs and poorly done slapstick get outta here. I don’t want puppets becoming CGI iterations for instance thst is horrid.
