So I ended up watching my own clip on the landspeeder search quite a few times.

So perhaps I need to change the speed on the rearview of the video to make 3p0 looking over to the right. That was really hard to make that work.

So we got the music restored over R2-D2 in the canyon which allows the build up to the raiders on the cliff.

But can you now see what I mean about the Bantha footage. Good spot by the wsy on the guys on the ledge before they leap.

So the tuskan raider leaps on with that cool bit of restored music.

Basically my thoughts are cut the music away for Tuskan raider struggling and him also.

Use the short drum beat cue for the tuskan raider running on the ledge.

Cut to mounted tuskan raiders with the call that he makes bit like a donkey.

Now it very much depends on that scratched shot of the bantha being cleaned up to restore the music cue. How well can that clean up?

Did you notice the shot was timed a little different to the music in the film where the Banthas footstomp goes inbetween the drums and the bass note starts on the shot of luke and 3p0 finding R2D2?

That is the proper restored music cue.

Also going back to the treadwell droid just thinking how the special edition Sandcrawler Shot might look through binoculars? Then simply put to luke running past treadwell and treadwell does his repairs thing. The good news is if that worked which I reckon it would I have that whole soundmix without any music. One of the hardest things was to find alternate treadwell sounds. I don’t reckon he should blow up either but It is a nice subtle gag that at least treadwell is smart enough to not want to be around the Jawas to perhaps get sold off. That makes that scene a whole lot better.

Also with the Special edition Sandcrawler shot I am thinking so on the Binoculars it is zoomed out to appear far away filling the scope of the binoculars.

Then end of the shot where the Sandcrawler is against the Sky could be used to show the Sandcrawler coming to a halt. It could be an interesting animation to roack it back and forward a bit rotate it back and forth then cut to inside “wake up!” It could be given a weighty feel and again tell the story much better using that one shot in two very different ways.

I just got to wondering on the shot where treadwell blows up… was it a quick insert after Luke says “that would lead them back home” composite laser fire treadwell blows up Obiwan “wait Luke it’s too dangerous” cue the music Luke jumps in Landspeeder. The droids were not there…

Just for the record a little known deleted scene for the slaughtered Jawas was am establishing shot referenced in the script of smoke rising behind a landscape before we cut to that first shot.
