Anyhoo, I couldn't say enough good stuff about this movie back when it came out. It my favorite movie of the year (yes, moreso than ROTS, which shouldn't take a genius to know why) and I think a worthy contender for Best Picture that'll never get the nod.
As for Zimmer's score, both times that I've seen it, the music has been stuck in my head for days afterward. Interestingly, I'm starting to really get into Hans Zimmer's head, having dissected Hannibal and Pearl Harbor, and just grooving on Batman Begins (not to mention my passionate love for the Gladiator score). I was never so sure about what his style was, I just always liked it. Wanna hear something weird? Years ago, my wife and I waltzed at our wedding to the theme from True Romance (also by Zimmer). A handful of my movie buddies were audibly floored by that choice. Everybody else just thought we'd chosen a nice calypso piece. Ha!
