Great work Fruit672 it’s been one of those bits of star wars history that although not well known internationally is something important in it’s own right.

I will watch with interest for the result on this, What ever source you fiddle with to try to get a decent output result.

Yes Stacking sources is an interesting technique it’s something I actually am wanting to do at this moment to experiment with 2 sources on the Cantina regarding black crush.

Burnt out and very little time at the moment with work comitments I will try and sort some clips out Saturday this week and various resources I have.

Thanks for your efforts.

I have been looking at the deleted holochess pieces stop motion animation too… I think it is incomplete. However they would line up with the angle that R2D2 is positioned aboard the death star. Either the background was not comped or it’s uncropped cutting off the discrepency at the top and the chess pieces were simply not comped in … However the whole idea about not showing the arm being chopped off in the Cantina got me thinking about “droids don’t rip peoples arms out of their sockets when they lose… Wookies have been known to do that” and although I even have my doubts about this particular idea being plausible as being correct. It might actually work or it might not. It’s another thing to try out ontop of a cantina alternative. I am most curious though about the missing chess pieces put ontop of R2-D2’s chest.

Going back to the devil or guy with horns too… What is the black thing that passes in front of his face? It looks like an optical wipe but to nothing. It feels like a strange optical error or a missing splice… Like the insert shot is missing from the splice.

Oh yeah and Luke ordering a drink I think I could just make out him saying “I’ll have one of those” almost totally inaudible. I am curious if this was more audible or easy to catch in another release as I don’t think it’s present in the Special edition at all. At this point it has become a bit of a missing Line.
