hey darth enzo that exactly what I used the outer slipcase. because bought it with the dvd as a box set. but had previously bought the first two films therefor I just for sent away for an extra box for the heck of it to make my case.
BTW Im American have no chinese relations . I Just like the pink panther films. thanks catofong.
I got an idea for some covers if anyone is feeling creative and/or talented. I've always been a little dissapointed with the Official covers, especially the classic trilogy. And while I don't mind the character montage concept, I think they could have been done much better. And, it would have been nice if the covers at least had some similarities. So, If anyone is feeling clever, maybe some covers could be made that match. Episode 1 would need to match Episode 4, 2 could match 5 and 3 match 6. A mock up should explain:
Episode 2 Anakin is in the same spot as the Episode 5 Anakin. Yoda is in the same spots, etc. You get it.
Here is a large collection of covers for Deleted Magic, the Classic Editions and Return of the Ewok. Enjoy. First directory all by me, second directory by Coov, Ruben Ortiz, Hallway Orchard, Sluggo, Gundrosen, and other talented people.
Japanese "green" poster turned blue and more subtle, with Luke, Lando, the starburst and the top of cloud city retouched from the Australian poster, which I wish I had in better quality.
"Brushed metal" look inspired by Coov's work - with added snow and less extreme brushed metal.
And this is off topic, but here is some of my recent non-Star Wars work. For my own films, which a lot of you have asked for with your Deleted Magic/Classic Edition/Ewok discs. Enjoy.

Is there any way to get these covers to print out? I must say, I have been watching these forums for awhile and Coov's covers are the best I have ever seen. Please let me know!
Though I completely support any and all changes George Lucas makes, I feel that it is important to have the films on DVD in their original condition. They are the films that defined filmmaking as we know it.

I'd also like to know since these were not in the sw covers torrent Rik hosts. Also, what are you using the do the artifical "wrap" of an image like it's in a dvd case like this:
Does anybody have a high res scan of the actual sith DVD cover. Up here in Canada they totally ruined the cover by putting french on the cover and the spine looks like crap. I went to cdcovers.cc and they have a low res picture but if anybody could get me a good scan so I can print it out and replace my english/french cover.
I may make some minor tweaks. I am actually going to make one huge set of covers like this.
These covers will include:
OOT 97 SE' Ewoks Droids Clone Wars Vol. 1 and 2 Deleted Magic The Star Wars Holiday Special Return of the Ewok Star Wars Classic Edition Many Fan Films and more....

Did they ever. I hate that, too. Eps I and II are fine, now this load of merde. I'm not from Calgary, so I don't have any particular raison to hate les Francophones across la bord, but come on! Don't start plastering crappy tacked-on Francais on the last DVD release, when all others have been unmolested! It should be une regulation that the covers are double-sided, reversible things, so that we Anglophones get something that matches up with every other English-speaking North American release (i.e. les E. U.)...
There's also something vaguely ironic about the discs being made in Mexico, too; well, maybe 'ironic' is wrong, but it's something amusing.
The thing that worries me most about getting hi-res art is that it will be a serious bitch to match the metallic inks used on the official Ep I and II releases. Actually, I don't think it can be done, exactly. A nice, close shade of brown, maybe, but upon closer inspection it's always gonna look funny. Sigh.
Anyhow, I'm just curious, has anyone designed any cases for Super Jewel Boxes? I'm thinking of trying to design my Saga Collection DVD Covers for those...

Actually, I have. Well, I never finished them to my liking, and I put them on a CD somewhere to back them up. I'll look for them when I get home this weekend
Has anyone got any decent DVD cover template's ? The ones I am using do not completely match up with Imanix 3d cover design, the spine always looks to thin or too thick and i get an overlap. What is the setting that should be used? is it amaray (width 273mm)? cheers
I've used high quality ultra sharp matte paper before which gave me good results. The print is really sharp and has more depth to the colours than heavy gloss photo paper. I use a Epson 680 which is quite old now but produces extremely good high res prints even by todays standards. I haven't really experimented with that many different kinds of paper i just used what i had lying around. The paper on the official ones is a lightweight glossy type paper, dunno it's specific name or if you could actually buy this paper but i doubt you'd get the same kind of finish using a standard 3 colour inkjet printer. The silver colours almost look metallic which you'd never get on inkjet.
Those metallic-looking inks are metallic inks, which don't (as far as I know) come in inkjet-compatible form. You need to print on a commercial litho press to get those.
