I don’t know if it’s weird to care this much about the visual and audio fidelity of such an old anime like this, but I put so much time and effort into it, I want it to be as perfect as possible by the end of it all.

I’m of the opinion (oh, not that anyone cares!) that if you have a passion like this for something then sap it for all it’s worth, such as getting experience with achieving a higher/highest level of technical proficiency. So at least I say it’s absolutely worth it to go that distance you’re pushing for here.

Are you starting with keeping the VOBs as is and editing Womble style (no re-encoding) or are you IVTC’ing (have a good/great method for that), shooting for higher res right away?
