Lookin’ pretty great, Bob!
Regarding the Lobot scene, I think you could potentially address the missing slug of footage by cutting to the footage from outside the door, but play it in reverse as if it is being opened by Lobot. I think it would fit since the door is already moving up when it cuts to that second shot of Lobot.
So the order would be:
• Lobot avoids the troops and starts walking toward door.
• Outside door, we see it begin to raise open (footage reversed)
• Cut back to Lobot, waiting for the door to raise all the way open.
I just finished my edit of this cut for my ESB-X (extended) edition. I was going to post after I fix a few more dust from it. I added a little movement of him going to the door before the wide shot, but still feels off. I never thought of a reverse shot of door coming up and then…this is a great Idea I will try and maybe post both version and see what everything thinks.
My version is more inline with matching a clean version of the film. Bluray/Adywan’s etc.
and great work Bobson on your footage and colorization I have played around recently using adobe PS on each frame with their new neural AI filters to auto color…saves alot of time and all automatic…will try to post a sample in a week + the process I used as it has to go back and forth between PS and AE.
