Aquaman: King of Atlantis (Planned Project)

Aquaman was a film that a lot of people seemed to have enjoyed. For me, I honestly found it to be a pretty dull experience. The biggest problem for me is probably the script. It doesn’t feel like anything new I’ve seen before and I didn’t really care all that much for the characters. It’s a real shame, because I think James Wan is a very solid filmmaker and did a solid job directing.

My edit attempts to do the best it can to hopefully make the film a bit more interesting to watch. While there isn’t as much stuff that can be done, due to its structure and no deleted scenes released, I feel that this is the best that can be done.

Color corrected the entire film.

Re-scored the entire film, removing all songs as well. I’ve been considering using work from James Horner.

Removed the Atlantian soldiers ordering Atlanna to return to Atlantis.

Muted some of the bullies’ dialogue as they harass Arthur.

Removed the story about the knife David Kane is given.

Muted the pirate telling Kane that a man hit the submarine.

Removed Kane’s, “That’s not a man.”

Muted Arthur’s, “Up!”

Muted Arthur’s lines as he walks away from the Kanes.

Removed the subtitle that the ballast has been ruptured.

Trimmed away Kane’s father telling him to live so he can kill Aquaman.

Trimmed away Arthur and Mera bickering on who saved who.
