Hi all,
I’ve been working on this edit for some time now and after a little bit of tweaking and finalising i now feel it’s finally finished and ready to share with you guys.
The edit is around 2 hours 20mins and is structured very much like a Star Wars movie.
So what have I changed:
Episode one is condensed down to about 20 mins, flashbacks are gone as I felt it strange that obi wans memory of events would be in movie form! It’s like he’s dreaming about the Star Wars prequel movies 😂
Also I’ve removed the Jawa scene and the obi wan meeting the Jedi at night.
I’ve also condensed alot of leia’s scenes, we now first meet her when the guests are arriving on the shuttle and finish with her running into her kidnappers! There is no chase scene at all.
Removed obi wan getting the lightsabers! Instead he goes immediately after bail organas visit.
Episodes 2 also condensed to around 20 mins. I shaved a lot from this episode but kept the rescue of Leia and the meeting of haja scene.
With Episode 3 I’ve kept this episode mainly in tact except for a few unnecessary scenes.
Episode 4 has been heavily edited I’ve removed the Leia interrogation scene completely and a lot of the tala dialogue has been removed including the ‘you will address me as sir’
Episodes 5 and 6 are mostly intact apart from a few changes and cuts!
the flashback scenes of obi wan and anakin are now one long scene rather than many small ones I felt this helped the pace of the movie and Reva is presumed dead after the Vader battle she does not go after Luke, also Ben meeting Luke is gone instead we see him pack the toy as if he is on he’s way to the homestead at the end, I did not really want to cut this scene but felt Owens bruised and batterd face and body made no sense with the removal of the Reva revenge scenes.
Added music where needed for transitions.
