Yes, Qui-Gon would have been a better master to Anakin, as he was a lot more laid back than the average Jedi, whereas Obi-Wan was very by-the-book.

- Did G. Lucas ever intend to portray the Jedi as a flawed institution in the prequels? Or was it added later in the EU?
