if Anakin did die the moment he became Vader, then it makes Luke's attempt to bring him back to the darkside in ROTJ pretty pointless

'There is still good in him, I have felt it' Nope! hate to burst your bubble there Luke but he's DEAD D-e-a-d! there's nothing you can do for him!
