I saw it too. Some of it is interesting, but really nothing stands out much from the other edits on this forum. He added CG stormtrooper by the fire asking Vader if they shall proceed. It’s looking…okay, I guess, but the fire is CG as well so it doesn’t look as the rest of the shots.

Now, as someone who studied film editing (before turning to VFX), I was bothered by some musical choices in his edit.
I’m a visual guy, but I was “tortured” for three years on the academy by some really great sound editors, and I learned some things there which bother me now if I see someone not following the principles. For example DON’T fade in or out music 10 seconds before it’s actually needed. It’s distracting! Also DON’T change the music abruptly on cut with some other piece of music which doesn’t have the same tone or rhythm. And when you use music, it should have a meaningful beginning and the end.

As you guess it, none of those rules apply to that edit. And he used well known themes over some parts that have more weight in silence, so that took me out too.

Oh and speaking of music, there’s Bespin theme playing on Alderaan, which makes it seem out of place.

Overall, keep up the great work. Loving your edits and ideas. We don’t need tons of media coverage to create something great(er).
